Sample Menus and Pricing
Here is
a sampling of our menu choices. Our menus are constantly changing to reflect
the seasons and what is freshest at the market.
Your selections
will always be customized for your personal preferences. All entrees
are packaged in microwave-safe containers and labeled with heating
instructions and ingredient lists.
Here are sample menus from some of our clients:
Family One
This family has a weekly meal prepation service. They like more "traditional" menus, with a meat as the main course.
Their menu selections include:
- Chicken parmigiana with a side of pasta and a green salad
- Barbeque chicken, macaroni and cheese and steamed broccoli
- Chicken pot pie with a green salad
- Haddock cakes, tartar sauce, rice and sautéed carrots
- Honey-dijon salmon, rice pilaf and asparagus
- Bacon-wrapped meatloaf, mashed potatoes and steamed green beans
- Beef and black bean chili with cornbread

Family Two
This family has a monthly meal service: the meals are used to supplement their own cooking. This family likes stews and soups.
Their menu selections include:
- Hearty lentil soup with crispy pancetta
- Red chile tamales with a vegetables salsa
- White chicken chili with hominy
- Lamb and sausage cassoulet with crispy crumbs
- Chicken tagine with preserved lemon and green olives, served with vegetable couscous
- Risotto cakes with herbed tomato sauce

Family Three
This family is concerned about healthy eating and likes poutry and seafood as a main course.
Their menu selections include:
- Steamed fresh fish in soy-ginger glaze with jasmine rice and snow peas
- Sautéed salmon filets with mint-mustard pesto, brown rice pilaf and red pepper stirfry
- Balsamic-garlic chicken cutlets with roasted red potatoes and sautéed spinach
- Turkey meatloaf with cauliflower-potato mash and steamed broccoli
- Penne alla Norma (pasta with a roasted eggplant sauce)

Family Four
This family eats a primarily vegetarian diet. They east some meat and love exotic flavors and spices.
Their menu selections include:
- Red curry of vegetables with jasmine rice and an herb salad
- Noodle stirfry with shrimp and vegetables
- Vietnamese spring rolls with vegetables, shrimp and spiced tofu
- Indian-spiced eggplant "steaks", palak paneer (spinach with fresh cheese) and basmati ride pilaf
- Braised lentils, celery root cakes, garlic sausage and pickled shallots

Pricing
For
our personal chef services, we charge $50 per hour, with a required
minimum of five hours, plus the cost of groceries. In five hours,
at least four servings of each of five menu items may be prepared
(a total of twenty portions). Depending on the dishes selected,
the number of portions prepared in this time can be increased (a cook day can also be longer than five hours if wished.
The
cooking fee covers shopping, cooking, meal preparation and packaging.
There is an additional charge for services provided outside the
Boston North Shore area.
